School holidays

It is holiday season again. As usual, during holiday, we will be very busy (Mummy, not me!).

Goo-poh and tiau-kong came all the way from Langkawi together with so many ah yees.

Papa went to Hanoi, Vietnam last week while mummy and I went back to Kangar. There were many people in Kangar too, ee-poh, reuben-goo, joelle-yee and jonathan-goo. Spent my time there mostly playing and running around at ah-chor's house!
We came back to KL this morning while papa reached KL around 3pm. Papa bought me a traditional Vietnamese dress! Pretty, isn't it? :)

Busy days ahead. Goong-goong and poh-poh will be in KL this Wednesday......

Hong Kong Escapade

We went to The Peak on Saturday morning. It is on top of the hill and we need to board a tram to reach there. The tram ride was old-fashioned and enjoyable.

We first went toMadam Tussaud's Wax Museum. It was full of wax figures. But no Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and co..... So boring!

Look, I'm a royal princess!!

President Obama and Bush listening to my speech...

The only guy I knew here is Ip Man!

After that we went to the outdoor. It was sunny but windy and cold!

We then went to The Terrace. It was the highest peak. The view of Hong Kong was magnificient!

The shrimp from Bubba Gump!

Our next stop is Repulse Bay. It is famous for its beach and there is a Gwan-Yin temple there.

After that we went to the famous Jumbo Restaurant. We have to take a boat to reach there.

Later that night, we went out for dinner with papa's friends. We headed back to KL on Sunday morning. I enjoyed the trip very much and papa promised to bring me to Disneyland again next time!

From Disneyland to Tsim Sha Tsui

We checked out from Disneyland Hotel on Friday. After breakfast, I went to the hotel's nursery and play 'masak-masak'. After that, we went to buy some souvenirs in the hotel (will show you what i've bought later!)

A bus came and took us to another hotel. We stayed at Novotel Kowloon in Tsim Sha Tsui. It was smaller than the Disneyland Hotel but nice!

We had dim sum for lunch at a nearby restaurant and I like to eat "char-siew pow". He..he.. minus the char-siew, of course!

After an afternoon nap, we went to Avenue of Star. It is a place facing the sea where those Hong Kong stars put their hand prints on the floor. Too bad I didn't know any of those people! But it was very windy there! Exactly at 8pm, the "Symphony of Lights" show began. It was a multimedia display of colored lights, beams and laser synchronised with the accompanying music. It lighted up the whole Hong Kong city!

After that we went to Mongkok which is famous for its shopping paradise. It was so crowded! We also went for a walk at Ladies' Street where they sell all kinds of stuff especially cheap imitations and underwears!!
I ate "gai-dan chai" which is basically kuih baulu that was made into ball-shaped. We drank ice-blended watermelon and papaya juice.

A lot of people there also eat "chau-tau-foo" which is "rotten tofu". The smell was horrible and i don't know why people like to eat it so much.
